Author Guidelines

General Information

Manuscripts submitted to Applied Remenergy Technology (ART) must represent original and unpublished research that is not under consideration by any other journal or publisher. Submissions containing plagiarism, redundant publication, or ethical violations will be rejected without review.

Submission of a manuscript implies that all listed authors have approved the content and consented to its submission. Where applicable, studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive environmental samples must comply with relevant ethical and legal regulations.

All suitable submissions are initially evaluated by the editorial team and subsequently reviewed by independent experts through a double-blind peer-review process.

Language

All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to seek professional language editing prior to submission.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared using standard word-processing software (Microsoft Word or compatible formats: .doc or .docx) and formatted according to the journal template.

The manuscript should include:

  • Title
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods (or Experimental Section)
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • References

Title and Authors

The title should be concise and informative, clearly reflecting the main findings of the study. Author names must be presented with complete affiliations and contact information. One corresponding author should be designated for all communications.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should provide a clear and concise summary of the study, including its objectives, methodology, key results, and conclusions. It must be self-contained, written as a single paragraph, and should not contain citations, figures, or undefined abbreviations.

For Research Articles and Review Articles, the abstract should not exceed 250 words.
For Short Communications, the abstract should not exceed 150 words.

Authors must provide 3–5 keywords immediately after the abstract to facilitate indexing and discoverability.

Graphical Abstract

Authors are encouraged to submit a graphical abstract that visually summarizes the main findings or workflow of the study. The image should clearly convey the core message of the article in a simple and informative format.

The graphical abstract must be submitted as a separate high-resolution file (JPEG, PNG, or PDF). The recommended minimum size is 500 × 1300 pixels or proportional resolution.

Manuscript Structure

The main text should be organized into clearly defined and logically structured sections to ensure readability and consistency. Authors should apply a hierarchical numbering system for headings and subheadings.

Primary sections should be numbered consecutively (1, 2, 3, …), while subsections should follow decimal numbering (1.1, 1.2, …). Further subdivisions may be written as 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc., where appropriate.

The Abstract, Acknowledgements, and References should not be included in the section numbering.

Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Files

Figures and tables must be clearly labeled, cited in the text, and submitted in high-resolution formats (JPEG, PNG, PDF, or EPS). Tables should be provided as editable text rather than images.

Supplementary materials may be submitted when necessary to support the study.

Acknowledgements

This section should briefly recognize funding sources and individuals or institutions that contributed to the research. It should be placed before the References.

References and Citations

All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa. Authors are required to use a numbered citation style (IEEE format).

Citations should be indicated using Arabic numerals in square brackets, numbered consecutively according to their first appearance.

Examples:

  • Single reference: The adsorption capacity increased significantly [1].
  • Multiple references: Similar findings have been reported [2–4].
  • Non-consecutive references: This method has been widely applied [3,5,8].
  • Author mentioned: According to Setiawan et al. [6], catalytic activity improves with temperature.

The reference list should be arranged numerically and include complete bibliographic information. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript fits the journal’s aims and follows the Author Guidelines.
  • The work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The manuscript is written in English and prepared in Word (.doc/.docx) using the journal template.
  • All required sections are included, and the abstract meets the word limit.
  • References follow the numbered IEEE citation style and are complete.
  • Figures and tables are properly numbered, labeled, and cited in the text.
  • All authors, affiliations, and necessary permissions are provided.

Submissions that do not comply may be returned prior to peer review.

Research Articles

This section publishes original research articles reporting novel findings, experimental studies, modeling, or technological innovations in renewable energy, environmental engineering, catalysis, remediation, and related applied sciences. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Review Articles

This section publishes comprehensive review articles that critically summarize, evaluate, and synthesize recent developments in renewable energy, environmental technology, catalysis, remediation, and related applied sciences. Submissions should provide in-depth analysis, identify research gaps, and propose future research directions. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

Short Communications

This section publishes short communications reporting preliminary findings, novel methods, technical innovations, or concise experimental results of significant scientific or practical importance. Manuscripts should be brief, focused, and supported by sufficient data to demonstrate validity. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.
