Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

1. Introduction
Applied Remenergy Technology (ART) recognizes the growing adoption of AI and generative tools in academic research and manuscript preparation. The journal supports the responsible and ethical use of these technologies to enhance clarity, efficiency, and presentation quality while ensuring that scientific integrity, transparency, and authorship accountability are fully maintained. AI tools are intended solely to assist authors and must not replace human intellectual contributions.

2. Acceptable Use of AI Tools
Authors may use AI technologies for limited technical assistance, including language editing, proofreading, translation, formatting, reference organization, plagiarism screening, and computational or data-processing support. Such use is permitted only when authors carefully review and validate all outputs. The scientific reasoning, interpretation of results, and conclusions must remain the original work of the authors.

3. Prohibited Use of AI Tools
The use of AI tools to generate primary scientific content or to write substantial portions of the manuscript, including the introduction, methodology, results, discussion, or conclusions, is strictly prohibited. AI must not be used to fabricate, falsify, or manipulate data, images, spectra, or experimental outcomes, nor to produce misleading analyses or interpretations. AI systems cannot be credited as authors or co-authors under any circumstances.

4. Author Responsibility
Authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and reliability of all submitted content, including any material prepared with AI assistance. The use of AI does not transfer accountability from the authors to the software. Authors must ensure that manuscripts are free from plagiarism, fabricated references, and inaccurate or misleading information.

5. Disclosure of AI Assistance
Any use of AI tools during manuscript preparation must be transparently disclosed. Authors are required to include an “AI Assistance Statement” within the acknowledgments or methods section describing the extent and purpose of AI support. Transparency in disclosure is essential to maintain trust and ethical standards in scientific publishing.

6. Ethical Compliance
All applications of AI must comply with the journal’s publication ethics and internationally accepted standards of academic integrity. Any misuse of AI that compromises ethical principles, originality, or research credibility will be treated as a violation of publication policy.

7. Editorial Evaluation
All manuscripts, whether AI-assisted or not, will undergo the same rigorous peer-review and editorial assessment. The editorial office reserves the right to request clarification regarding AI use, conduct similarity or AI-detection screening, and reject, correct, or retract submissions that fail to comply with this policy.

8. Policy Review and Contact Information
This policy may be periodically updated to reflect technological advancements and best practices in scholarly publishing. Questions or requests for clarification regarding AI use may be directed to the editorial office at appliedremenergy@gmail.com.
